Running an in-house agency is hugely beneficial, but it’s not always easy. We exist to help Australian businesses share best practices, build capability, and advocate for the industry. And we do that in a number of ways:

Sharing Best Practices

We bring together in-house agencies to learn new skills and inspire each other with a view to raising the ambition and quality of the work overall.

How we do it:

  • Input into the capability agenda

  • Curated roundtables

  • Curated masterclasses

  • Creative thinktank sessions

Building Capability

We facilitate the sharing of best practice, learnings and ways of working for the purposes of comparing with peers and identifying opportunities for efficiency, performance improvement and growth.

How we do it:

  • Sub-Councils

  • Whitepapers

  • International Speakers

  • Industry Benchmarking

  • IHAC Knowledge Hub

  • Mentoring Program

Industry Advocacy

We constantly work to advocate for the industry and the great work our members are doing.

How we do it:

  • An IHAC board

  • Member-only jobs board

  • The IHAC Awards

  • Member profiling

IHAC's AI Council

APAC’s only in-house focused AI Council.

Our Council leads the charge and agenda on a dedicated AI workstream, where you actively learn from in-house agency peers using AI in their work.

AI is moving fast and in-house agencies are unique. You don’t need generic AI advice, you need specialist insights tailored for the in-house model. We believe regular connection and collaboration in this area is better than one off conferences.

With that in mind, we've created a dedicated space for IHAC members to share real-world wins, navigate challenges, and build AI capability alongside peers from the region's leading brands.

IHAC Summit

The IHAC community makes up a significant and growing segment of the Australian Media & Marketing landscape. Each year we invite leaders and marketers from high profile brands to our annual Summit.

The IHAC Summit brings together leaders from in-house and hybrid agency teams for a full day of learning, discussion and connection. From strategic insights to creative operations, media, production and AI, every session is designed to help in-house teams evolve and thrive.

This is the flagship event of our calendar where our members come together to network and connect.

  • To shape IHAC’s AI agenda, frameworks, and industry advocacy.

  • To foster open knowledge sharing, peer learning, and collaboration.

  • To build tangible skills and confidence in applying AI across marketing, creative and media workflows.

  • To provide the industry with credible data, insight, and leadership on AI.

Special event: IHAC WeHac

As part of your IHAC Membership, you have the opportunity to participate in other events we host, like IHAC WeHac.

We often bring together creatives from our member brands to solve a creative challenge. Brands are given the unique opportunity to work with their industry peers on a project very different to their usual scope. Sometimes for charitable causes or sometimes for a member brief looking for a unique solve!

Brands are mixed into different teams and have only a few hours to brainstorm, refine and pitch their idea to judges.

Bragging rights for the winners, and the possibility of seeing your idea come to life!
